BharatPe introduces Postpe, enters BNPL segment
By MYBRANDBOOK
BharatPe, one of India’s fastest growing fintech companies, enters into the ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) category with the launch of its product- ‘postpe’.
Postpe provides credit to customers to buy now and pay later from anywhere. BharatPe aims to facilitate a loan book of $300 million on Postpe in the first 12 months, for its lending partners. With Postpe, customers can shop across offline as well as online and repay easily through EMIs.
Once downloaded, customers can simply open the app, scan a QR code and pay using the PostPe credit at a merchant’s outlet. Customers will also have the option to pay for the item via a PostPe card which will be accepted across lakhs of offline merchants as well as on several e-commerce platforms.
As per sources, there is no annual fee or transaction charges on payments done via the Postpe app or card. The customers can also unlock cashbacks and win exciting rewards on their first and specific milestone transactions.
Ashneer Grover, Co-Founder and Managing Director of BharatPe said, “Postpe is a product built on 3 simple principles: Consumer should be able to pay using credit everywhere – QRs, Card Machine or Online; Consumer should be able to convert into EMI at ease – not inconvenienced at point of sale and; Merchant should not be charged for accepting payments through BNPL. Our aim with Postpe is to make EMI and credit available for everyday purchases. Postpe will be the leader in BNPL space in India by virtue of being no cost to merchants and universal acceptance.”
