During pandemic Dell updates policies to assist employees

Dell Technologies has partnered with the Hope Foundation to enable employees to contribute to relief efforts.

 

Ritu Rakhra, regional HR leader- India, Dell Technologies, says, “For each contribution made, Dell is matching the donation amount up to $10,000 per team member per year,” said. The technology firm has revamped its policies to assist team members, providing a dedicated 24×7 helpline, enhanced medical insurance and introducing a special category of crises leave for those who need to take care of themselves or their families. Considering the current strain on the medical infrastructure, the Dell India team is working towards setting up a Covid Facilitation Centre (CFC), which will enable the team members and their immediate family members to be equipped with all required information and services to manage Covid-19 related health exigencies.”

 

The company has procured over 1000 oxygen concentrators for employees who may need them. The company is also evaluating possibilities with network hospitals and industry bodies to offer vaccinations for employees and their families.

 

She emphasized that the need of the hour was to empathise and support each other, and that the company was focusing its energy on understanding each person’s challenges and requirements. It has partnered with a telemedicine firm for a dedicated helpline for online audio/video consultation, ambulance booking, medical tests, delivery of medicines and home quarantine facilities, said Rakhra.

 

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through a partner who provides professional counselling services is also offered by the company. It has a wellness hub that has been focusing on the employees’ wellness, including their mental health, physical wellbeing, and financial wellness
