Delta provide energy efficient solutions for a better tomorrow

Delta is a global company and its corporate mission is to provide innovative and energy efficient solutions for a better tomorrow. Focussed on carbon emission, Delta tries to combine different energy saving technologies and nurtures higher energy savings and productivity of its customers across the globe.
The company was founded in 1971; originally it used to be a manufacturer of TV parts. Delta’s founder, Bruce C.H. Cheng who is also a visionary and has been instrumental in making Delta a global company, built it into a supplier of switches and power suppliers to global brands such as Dell.
Delta today is a provider of switching power supplies and DC brushless fans, as well as a major source for power management solutions, components, display solutions, industrial automation, networking products, and renewable energy solutions. Starting from May 2, 2017, Delta will lead its business with "Power Electronics", "Automation" and "Infrastructure" as its three main business categories, which will be dedicated to its corporate strategy of “the development of branded and solution businesses”. Nine business groups under the new business management structure will drive the development of solutions, focused markets and existing product lines.
In 2015, Delta earned a revenue of $7,577 million. It has 153 sales offices, 40 plant sites and 61 R&D units. It has a big investment in R&D and around 6-7% of its revenue goes into Research & Development.
Over the years Delta has evolved its green solutions that comprise of Industrial Automation Solutions, Building Automation Solutions, Datacenter Solutions, Telecom Network Energy Solutions, Display & Monitoring Solutions and EV Charging Solutions. It has realized 23 green buildings from 2006 – 2016. The new Delta Americas headquarters building in Fremont, California, which has been certified as a LEED Platinum green building is targeted to achieving the Net Zero standard. The new building is a solid example of adopting Delta Building Solutions and BMCS to improve building energy efficiency.
Delta also has a target of decreasing electricity intensity by 30% by 2020. It has in fact earned energy efficiency of close to 98%.
Delta in India
Delta has been operational in India since 2003 and is a 100% subsidiary of Delta Electronics, Thailand. With ten regional offices, three manufacturing facilities at Rudrapur, Gurgaon and Hosur and two R & D centres in Gurgaon and Bangalore, Delta has a strong presence across India with more than 100 channel partners. Besides catering to the Indian market, Delta also exports to several countries including Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The official launch of its 3rd manufacturing plant at Hosur in the state of Tamil Nadu took place last year. The new plant is part of Delta’s investment commitment and expansion plans in India. The company is looking to invest about US$500 Million over the next 10 years, helping to generate employment for India’s multi-skilled talents with the expected creation of over 20,000 new jobs.
