Nitin Rohilla is appointed as the CIO in Adani Power

Adani Power has appointed Nitin Rohilla to head its IT wing as the Chief Information Officer. Before this assignment he was working with Adani Electricity as the Vice President.
As the CIO , Nitin will be responsible for spearheading the company’s digital transformation and IT initiatives for business growth. He will be based out of Ahemadabad and report to the company’s MD, Anil Sardana.
In my view, IT is an enabler to business. A CIO’s role should be business-driven and not just technology-driven. All IT initiatives should drive business value as a function of efficient people/employee, improved and effective processes and Information Technology that brings consistency and standardization.
