Swati Shetty steps down from Netflix

Netflix has confirmed that Swati Shetty has resigned from her role as the Director of International Original and Acquisitions at Netflix India.
Shetty has been with the company since the start of its India operations. In her two-year stint, Shetty has been instrumental in acquiring popular films such as Love Per Square Feet’, ‘Lust Stories’ and ‘Rajma Chawal.’
In India, Netflix is planning to strengthen its hold with the launch of new original productions and acquisitions.
Before joining Netflix, Shetty has worked with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms as the President. She has also worked with The Walt Disney Studios as Associate Director at the Disney ABC Television Group and as manager at Star India.
The replacement for Shetty is yet to be announced.
