The company revealed three major agreements aimed at reshaping the space industry’s approach to orbit transfers and satellite servicing:
  • Anduril Defense Demo Mission (2026): Helios will showcase advanced rendezvous and proximity operations, providing critical data for space object tracking and defence applications.

  • Astranis GEO Transport Deal (2027): Helios will transport MicroGEO satellites from low Earth orbit (LEO) to GEO in under 24 hours, accelerating broadband services, communication infrastructure, and satellite internet deployment.

  • Infinite Orbits Ride-Share Contract (2027): Through the Caravan program, smaller satellite operators can share launch costs, following the SpaceX Falcon 9 ride-share model, making space access more affordable and scalable.

Helios, powered by its Deneb engine, attaches to larger rockets and delivers payloads quickly once in space, eliminating the long waits associated with traditional orbit transfers. The technology promises to tackle challenges such as radiation zones, communication delays, and station-keeping requirements—issues that have traditionally slowed satellite deployment.

Impulse’s services are expected to benefit telecommunications providers, defence agencies, earth observation companies, and space startups, offering faster deployment, reduced costs, and enhanced operational readiness. If successful, Helios could shift industry focus from LEO to GEO satellite operations, driving innovation in AI-powered space systems, autonomous satellite navigation, and next-generation space infrastructure.

With Helios, Impulse Space aims to lead the way in transforming satellite launch timelines, space exploration logistics, and global communication networks, making rapid, reliable access to orbit a reality for both government and commercial missions.
