Apple highlights the M4 chip’s AI capabilities for apps like Goodnotes and Onform, helping users leverage on-device AI for creative and professional purposes.
Enhanced Connectivity and iPadOS 26 Features
The iPad Air now includes Apple-designed N1 wireless chip and C1X cellular modem, supporting Wi-Fi 7, 5G, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. These improvements provide faster wireless connections, reduced latency, and more efficient power usage. Cellular users benefit from enhanced GPS functionality, eSIM support, and improved global connectivity.
Running iPadOS 26, the device offers a revamped windowing system, a new menu bar, and improved Files app functionality for better multitasking and organization. Users can access powerful tools like Preview for PDFs and images, as well as Apple Creator Studio apps optimized for the M4 chip.
