Amazon brings Virtual Customer Service model in India
By MYBRANDBOOK
Amazon has come up with Virtual Customer Service (VCS) model. It is an initiative launched with the aim of creating cost-efficient employment prospects for qualified and skilled candidates seeking the more flexible “Work From Home” opportunities.
With this initiative, Amazon is reaching out to a wider talent pool to ensure a high rate of diversity while also roping in talent who might not be able to physically attend regular office due to varied reasons. VCS has currently been launched in Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore and Noida and is hiring for entry-level job opportunities along with opportunities for Team Managers and Group Managers in these cities.
Priti R, Director, Talent Acquisition APAC, Amazon, said, “We are an employer of choice, because of our relentless focus on employees. As an employee-friendly company, we believe in opening up comfortable channels of employment to people and VCS is an opportunity for those who are unable to come to office every day due to personal reasons, but are passionate about their work. We hope that this initiative will help many people resume their career and find an earning with the comfort of being at home.”
Selected Customer Service Associates will receive training on system usage and care like logging into VPN, laptop & equipment care, Quarantine, software updation, Do’s and Don’ts and regular trainings on new products or features launched to support customer service.
With this initiative, Amazon aims to provide and enhance an effortless, rapid, and proficient support experience to customers. The Virtual Customer Service would help reduce customer effort, make it simpler to detect and quickly escalate problems apart from anticipating customers’ needs and educating them on relevant products, programs and services offered by Amazon.in.
