Epson Inktank now rebranded as Epson Ecotank
By MYBRANDBOOK
Epson has announced that its revolutionary InkTank printers will now be branded as EcoTank printers in India. Epson has launched the world’s first original InkTank printer in 2011, and the product has gone on to become a runaway success around in India and around the world. In India, Epson is the No. 1 Inkjet brand by Volume and Value. Now with the intention of further accelerating the awareness and benefits of Epson’s CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System), the company is further defining the core value of economy by including this aspect in the brand name. The entire range of Epson’s InkTank printers will now carry the EcoTank sub-brand.
Epson has also announced the launch of two all-new integrated EcoTank printers. The newly-launched L3110 and L3150 EcoTank printers will replace Epson’s earlier flagship models – L380 and L405, respectively.
These two new EcoTank printers come with an integrated ink tank, in a more compact size. The new Epson L3110 and L3150 EcoTank printers will continue to maximize savings by offering the lowest cost per print in the market of just 7 Paise for black and 18 Paise for CMY colour, giving consumers the freedom to print without worry. Each set of ink bottles will provide an ultra-high yield of 4,500 black prints and 7,500 colour prints. Epson EcoTank printers save up to 80% on ink with low-cost replacement bottles. The new EcoTank printers promise spill-free and error-free refilling, with ink bottles that have unique nozzles that fit into their respective tanks only. The two new models have an extremely small footprint compared to the older models.
The new EcoTank printers print at a high printing resolution of 5760 dpi, delivering exceptionally high-quality prints. The printers offer fast print speeds of up to 10ipm for black and 5.0ipm for colour. In addition, the new models are capable of printing borderless photos up to 4R. L3110 is priced at Rs.11,899 and L3150 at Rs.14,299. Epson offers warranty coverage of up to 1 year or 30,000 prints, whichever comes first.
“In India, ink tank printers have always been synonymous with the brand Epson. We have changed the dynamics of the printing market completely with our revolutionary printers. EcoTank now defines the next level of low-cost printing. Epson’s EcoTank printers also offer a better alternative to laser and cartridge printers in terms of lower overall total cost of ownership, savings in energy consumption and reduced impact on the environment,” said Siva Kumar, General Manager, InkJet Printers at Epson India.
Epson continues to lead the market as the number one Inkjet brand in India. Epson has sold over 30 million EcoTank printers worldwide. In India, Epson has sold over 3 million EcoTank printers since its launch in 2011.
