Infinix launches mid-segment Zero 40 5G smartphone

Following its recent unveiling in the global market, the Infinix Zero 40 5G smartphone has finally been launched in India. It comes with a touch of generative AI features such as translation, eraser, sticker creation, and wallpaper generation, and also has a GoPro mode that allows users to control their GoPro cameras. A 144Hz display, a 108MP main camera, an Always on Display, and 20W wireless charging support are the major highlights of this phone.
The all-new Infinix ZERO 40 5G smartphone houses a 6.78-inch Full HD+ 10-bit curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It comes with a peak 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has TUV Rheinland certified eye care protection.
The mid-segment smartphone features 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, and is backed by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. It runs on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and is scheduled to get two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The smartphone boasts of a triple-camera setup with a 108MP primary OIS camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s a 50MP ultra-wide camera on the front for taking selfies, besides offering 4K 60fps video recording support from both rear and front cameras.
The handset comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired and 20W wireless charging support. Other features onboard include an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, dual stereo speakers with sound by JBL, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
The Infinix Zero 40 5G comes in Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black shades, which the company claims to have co-created with WGSN. The smartphone costs Rs 27,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 30,999.
