Zepto considering to relocate headquarters from Mumbai to Bengaluru
By MYBRANDBOOK
Quick commerce app Zepto is planning to relocate its headquarters from Powai in Mumbai to Sarjapur in Bengaluru, according to a report. This move is aimed at consolidating its operations and expanding its presence in India’s tech hub.
Mumbai and Bengaluru are the two places from where Zepto has been operating.
On an expansion spree, the company will also hire 500 new employees who will be joining the Bengaluru campus soon along with the Mumbai employees.
Currently, Zepto operates with its business functions in Mumbai and its tech and product teams in Bengaluru. The company is planning to bring its 1,700-1,800 employees under one roof, with a mandatory relocation for staff by the end of November or early December.
Zepto has raised $665 million at a $3.6 billion valuation in June this year, which is more than double from its last valuation. The company is hiring top talent across engineering, product, growth, finance, operations, and category management.
Ratna Mehta, CEO and Managing Partner, Fundalogical Ventures, said the investor community in Bengaluru is vibrant, so anyone looking for venture capital will be able to understand roadshows close to home and the support ecosystem post investment is also robust.
